La Séjannerie

La Séjannerie is about half a mile (750m) down a small country lane that serves just a handful of small farms and houses.

As soon as you drive through the gates of La Séjannerie, you will find yourself in an oasis of calm and comfort.

The gravelled drive has parking for several cars

At the top of the drive you will find the front of the house, which is South facing and looks out over the large (0.5Ha) gardens, which are mostly lawned with pretty shrubs and trees.

The property is one of only six along a small country lane which is a cul-de-sac, so there is almost no traffic. Privacy and seclusion await you!

The house has a large patio area which is a real sun-trap, ideal for long lazy lunches or topping up your sun tan. There is a large table, chairs for everyone and a parasol. A full size Weber BBQ is available for your use.

There’s plenty of space in the garden for kids to place and a large (>4m) trampoline. (NB the trampoline must be supervised by an adult when in use) Beyond the garden there are farmer’s fields

At the top of the garden you will find the heated (air sourced heat pump) swimming pool which measures approximately 8m x 4m. Loungers and pool toys can be found in the pool house .

The pool is fully maintained (July-Aug only) and is enclosed behind a safety fence.

The entrance to La Séjannerie leads into the large family kitchen where you will find a pine dining table and chairs for 8 (and a high chair) , dual fuel cooker (gas hob, electric ovens), fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave and coffeemaker. A good selection of cooking equipment, china, glasses and cutlery is provided. The downstairs of the house is tiled throughout.

The insert fire situated in the old stone fireplace will keep you warm if there is a chill in the air (logs are available at an additional cost)  and vents provide warmth into the lounge and main bedroom. The house also benefits from electric heating throughout.

Next to the kitchen is a comfortable lounge with 50” flat screen smart TV   and a range of comfortable sofas, (not the one shown in the picture) chairs and occasional tables – a cosy place to put your feet up after a busy day exploring the local amenities.

The TV has 35 European channels and an Amazon Fire internet TV adapter, giving access to iPlayer and Netflix. A new DVD player has been added in 2022.  The house has ultrafast (1GB/s) fibre optic broadband and wifi which is available without additional charge.

Also leading off from the kitchen is the rear lobby with stairs to the upper floor and a door to the spacious modern downstairs bathroom with shower and the 10kg washing machine and 10kg tumble dryer – both new in 2022

Upstairs there are three separate bedrooms and a family bathroom (completely renovated in 2022) plus a separate area with a double IKEA sofa bed and a computer workstation. A travel cot is available and there is a gate at the top of the stairs.

All the beds, bedding and pillows were replaced with new in 2021. The main bedroom is situated above the lounge and has a comfortable super king size (EU) / king size (US) bed [180 x 220cm]. (NB not the bed in the picture). The dormer window offers views over the garden and beyond.

Next to the main bedroom is the newly renovated (2022) family bathroom, which has a bath, shower, handbasin and toilet.

Further along the corridor is the second bedroom, which has twin pine single beds and a pine wardrobe and dresser. A velux window provides a view into the back garden and the fields beyond.

Beyond the stairs, a doorway leads to the third bedroom, which has a modern king (EU) / queen (US) sized bed [150 x 200] and storage chest. A velux window provides a view into the back garden and the fields beyond.

At the end of the upstairs landing, we have created a separate space for an IKEA double sofabed

and a computer workstation with two monitors, wireless keyboard and mouse and a laser printer that you can hook your laptop up to if you do need facilities of this kind.
